I recommend getting in touch as soon as you know your approximate submission or defence date. Ideally, we start the design process a few months in advance. This gives us enough time to develop the concept, make adjustments and prepare all files for printing without unnecessary deadline pressure.
If your deadline is already approaching, don't worry. Get in touch and I'll let you know what is possible.

Absolutely. You can have a complete dissertation designed, or choose only the elements you need. This could be just the dissertation cover, for example, or a combination of the cover, chapter pages and other design elements.

Yes. I can design and format the interior of your dissertation, including typography, headings, page numbers, headers, chapter openings and other visual elements.
If your scientific content has already been formatted in Word, LaTeX or InDesign, we can also discuss how I can incorporate the existing layout into the final design.

Of course! Your ideas, research and personal preferences are an important starting point for the design.
You can send me inspiration, sketches, photographs, illustrations or other visual references. If you don't have any ideas yet, that's completely fine too. I'll help you develop a visual concept based on your research.

If your dissertation is already formatted in Word, LaTeX or InDesign, send me some information about the current setup and I'll advise you on the best approach.

The cost depends on what you need designed. You can choose a complete dissertation design package or only individual elements such as the cover, chapter pages or additional stationery.

The timeframe depends on the scope of the project and how much of your dissertation needs to be designed.
A cover-only project naturally takes less time than a complete dissertation including interior layout and chapter pages. When you contact me, let me know your deadline and I'll help you determine a realistic timeline.

Yes. Once your design is complete, I can help prepare the final files for printing and guide you through the production process.
If you already have a preferred printer or university printing requirements, I can take these into account when preparing the files. Also I already work with Ridderprint and ProefschriftMaken.nl to make the process as good as possible.

Yes. I work with PhD researchers both in the Netherlands and internationally.
Communication can be handled in English, and the design process can take place remotely. This means you don't need to be based in the Netherlands to work with HerikMedia. We can always plan a Zoom or Teams meeting if you would like.
